Mrs. Glenda Nell Forrister, age 82, of Cedartown, GA, passed away Sunday morning, October 30, 2022.
Mrs. Forrister was born in Edgewood, TX, on February 17, 1940, a daughter of the late Addie Boothe and Edna Johnson Boothe. She had lived the greater part of her life in Polk County and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Forrister was a Homemaker and Housewife who loved to read and work in her garden.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Forrister was preceded in death by her husband, Dewie Forrister, on March 12, 2016; two sons, Lonnie, and Laron Forrister; two brothers, Walton and James Boothe, and a sister, Martha Carter.
Mrs. Forrister is survived by a daughter, Renee Shanks of Cedartown; six grandchildren, Brandi “Brandi Pie” Gollahan, Lacy “Foxy” Davis, Wesley “Dink” Shanks, Zachary Carter, Andrew Davis, and Tyler Gollahan; six great-grandchildren, Devin Curby, Dylan Curby, Daelyn Curby, Bailey “Honeybee” Davis, Brighton “Brighty” Davis, and Bennett “Ben Ben” Davis; a brother, Buddy Boothe. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Forrister will be Thursday afternoon, November 3, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. David Warriner officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Forrister’s family will receive friends Thursday at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home by 2:30 p.m. and include Wesley Shanks, Zachary Carter, Andrew Davis, Tyler Gollahan, Anthony Marks, and Sam McClain.
