Grace Bagley Mulkey

Mrs. Grace Bagley Mulkey, age 76, of Browning Road Rockmart, GA passed away Monday, July 16, 2012 in a Rome Medical Center following an illness of several months.

She was born in Bartow County, GA on April 1, 1936 a daughter of the late Homer William Bagley, Sr. and Ada Bell Duran Bagley. She was a graduate of Cassville High School and was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church of Cartersville. Mrs. Mulkey had lived the greater part of her life in the Rockmart area and had formerly worked in the home health care field.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Mulkey on May 21, 1987; by a son, Danny Mulkey on April 27, 2012 : by a sister, Pauline Flowers and three brothers: Robert Bagley, John William Bagley and Homer William Bagley, Jr.

Survivors include two daughters: Lisa Cook, Rockmart and Angela McClure, Dallas; three sisters: Easter Bell Flowers, Ringgold, Annie Mae Brown, Calhoun and Dorothy Wilbanks, Cartersville; one brother, Edward Bagley, Cartersville; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Colt Deems officiating. Interment will follow in the County Line Baptist Church Cemetery.

Grandsons serving as pallbearers will include: Shane Mulkey, Chris Wilkes, T.J. Wilkes, Cliff McClure, Daniel Brimer and Dadrian Brimer. Cameron Cook will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
