Harold Cochran

Mr. Harold Cochran, age 66, of 115 Baldwin Road Rockmart, passed away suddenly Monday, August 18th.


He was born in Bartow County, GA on September 8, 1941 a son of the late Claude Allen Cochran and Texana Dudley Cochran. Mr. Cochran had lived the greater part of his life in Rockmart and was a former employee of the Galite Lightweight aggregate plant. He attended the Bethlehem Baptist Church and was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church. Mr. Cochran was a veteran of the U.S. Army.


Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jeanette Dunn Cochran of Rockmart to whom he was married on April 5, 1968; five children: Mrs. Dina Hughes, Rockmart, Mrs. Stephanie Nesbittt, Rockmart, Mrs. Paige Gloth, Taylorsville, Mr. Timothy Cochran, Cedartown and Mr. Jason Cochran, Rockmart; one sister, Mrs. Evelyn Loyd, Rockmart; one brother, Mr. Wendell Cochran, Rockmart; and ten grandchildren also survive.


Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 20th at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Pyles, Rev. Greg Robinson and Rev. Eddy Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Rockmart Memorial Gardens.


Active pallbearers will include: David Suppes, Keith Tuschl, Larry Waters, Evan Hughes, Justin Fuqua and Brett Cochran. Honorary pallbearers will include: Jeff Loyd, Danny Loyd, Burlan Arnold, Joey Shedd and Bryan Cochran.


The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
