Harold Douglas Edwards

Mr. Harold Douglas Edwards, age 71, of Rockmart, GA (the Beulah Community) passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025 at his residence.

He was born in Atlanta, GA on May 12, 1953, a son of Frances Phillips Edwards and the late B.D. Edwards. Mr. Edwards had been a resident of Paulding county since 1989 moving there from Smyrna. He was a graduate of Flint River Academy in Woodbury, GA and also graduated from Southern Tech in Marietta, GA. Mr. Edwards was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Paulding county. He retired in 2016 from Lockheed Aircraft Corporation following a 36 year career. He was an avid photographer, enjoyed traveling to the mountains and loved his family, especially his granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his father, B.D. Edwards and a sister, Hazel Edwards.

Survivors Include his wife, Alicia Edwards to whom he was married on March 9, 1985; daughter, Angel Edwards (Seth); granddaughter, Brittany Edwards; mother, Frances Edwards; brothers: Robert (Tamara) Edwards and Jim (Tracy) Edwards; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the Victory Baptist Church in Paulding County with his Pastor Larry Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home and on Wednesday from 12 until 2 pm at the Victory Baptist Church.
