Helen O. Phillips

Mrs. Helen O. Phillips, age 89, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Phillips was born on October 25, 1932 in Roswell, New Mexico to her late parents, William Olguin and Katie Bernal Olguin. Helen was a resident of Rockmart since 1969. She enjoyed shopping, crafts, reading, painting and music. Mrs. Phillips was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Eugene “Gene” Phillips who passed on February 16, 1995, daughter, Sharon Yvette Jackson, grandson, Jeremy Benjamin Phillips and sister, Katie Loyd.

Helen is survived by her loving children: Jeanie Bean, Pam Pierce, Keith Phillips, Kathy Swanson, Mark Phillips and Kim Leatherwood, 11 grandchildren: Chris, Jamie, Layla, Amber, Kyle, Jake, Chelsea, Lane, Savannah, Wiyanna, and Leali, and 11 great-grandchildren.

In keeping with the families wishes, Mrs. Helen will be cremated and a family memorial service will be held at a later date.
