Hilda Waters

Ms. Hilda Waters, age 86, of Rockmart, GA, passed away, Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in a Rome healthcare center following several months of declining health.

She was born on June 20, 1928 in Tattnall County, GA. Her parents were William Berry Waters and Clara Fennell Waters. In addition to them, she was preceded in death by brothers William Taft Waters and James Edgar Waters and sisters Vera Waters Smith and Velma Waters Ogden.

She was a graduate of Claxton High School. For a few years she worked in retail in Savannah, GA. She was an employee of Southern Bell Telephone Company for many years in Atlanta, GA. As a member of Southern Bell Pioneers she enjoyed many trips in the United States and in Europe. After retiring from Bell South she worked as a tax accountant.

Ms. Waters did not have an children but she loved her nieces and nephews, who loved her very much. They all liked to see Aunt Hilda coming for a visit.

She is survived by a brother, Bill G. Waters of Rockmart and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery in Glennville, GA.
