Hullon D. Hensley

Hullon D. Hensley, a beloved figure in both his community and church, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Cave Springs Manor.

 He was born on May 4, 1934, in Gainesboro, TN and was the son of the late Odell and Ruby Hensley. In his professional life, Hullon was the proud owner and operator of Hensley Upholstery. Additionally, he devoted himself to spreading The Gospel as a preacher at Buchanan Church of Christ and Lindale Church of Christ.  An individual of unwavering faith, Hullon was known for his godly nature and his deep love for preaching. His commitment to his beliefs shone through in every aspect of his life and his impact will be felt for years to come. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Robert Douglas Barton.

Hullon is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Evelyn Lois Hensley, as well as their children: Treva Diane (Gene) Proctor, Timothy Mark (Carolyn) Hensley, Connie Hensley Barton (Barry Stephens), and Lori Ann (Mike) Beavers; grandchildren: Tabitha (Clint) Helms, Stephanie (Josh) Jenkins, Courtney (Jake) Fekete, Abbey Hensley, Katie Beavers, Dan (Kacie) Proctor, Jared (Megan) Hensley and Grant Beavers; great-grandchildren: Parker Jenkins, Peyton Jenkins, McKenzie Proctor, Brody Proctor and Shiloh Hensley; brother, Vestle Hensley; sisters Louise Hensley, Earlene (Earmon) Hensley, Geneva (Charles) Bybee; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Services to honor and celebrate Hullon's life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Elder Steve Murdock officiating. Interment will follow the service at Floyd Memory Gardens. 

Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Dan Proctor, Clint Helms, Josh Jenkins, Jake Fekete, Grant Beavers and Jared Hensley. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 12:00 PM until the service begins at 2:00 PM.
