Jack H. White

Jack H. White of Rockmart, GA went to be with the Lord May 22, 2012. He was born January 18, 1933. He was 79 years. He had a battle with his health and fought a good fight.


He enlisted in the Army and served proudly for 21 years. He received the Bronze Star medal, a U.S. Armed Forces individual military decoration and the fourth-highest award for bravery, heroism or meritorious service. His career took him to England, France, Germany, and two tours in Vietnam. After his retirement he was an office executive for the Middle Georgia trade exchange in Macon, GA.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Beatty White, and father Asa Tillman White. He leaves behind four sisters. Judy Hulgan (Wayne), Roswell, GA., Emma J. White, Powder Springs, GA. Patricia J. White, Jonesboro, GA, and June W. Parsons (Paul) of Macon, GA., and a brother, Asa Joe White, of Macon, GA. Nephews and nieces; Maury Burton, (Bambi), Matthew, Tyler, and Jamie. Maggie McDaniel, (Rich), Kingston, GA. Stefan Parsons (Kim), Hannah, Marissa and Evan, Macon, GA, Matthew Hulgan, (Jamie), Halle and Hannah of Roswell, GA, Katrina P. Daniels, (Will), Madison and C.C. of Juliette, GA, Michael McDaniel (Cindy), Robby Parsons,(Rachel), Lillie, Pierce and Parks of Lizella, GA.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with nephews Matthew Hulgan and Stefan Parsons delivering eulogies. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with full military honors accorded by the U.S. Army Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will include: Matthew Hulgan, Stefan Parsons, Robert Parsons, Michael McDaniel, Maury Burton and Will Daniels.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jack's favorite charities were, Project Smile, Boys Town, Toys for tots.
