Jackie Keith Edwards

Mr. Jackie Keith Edwards, age 68, of Rockmart, GA passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020 at his residence.

Jackie was born on July 13, 1952 in Aragon, GA and lived all of his life in Polk County. He graduated in 1972 from Rockmart High School and retired from General Motors. He was a member of the Morning View Baptist Church. Jackie loved the Lord with all of his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Madge Edwards; by two brothers: Walter and J.T. Edwards and by his wife whom he loved dearly, Patricia Leatherwood Edwards.

Jackie is survived by four sisters: Judy (Jerry) Dunn, Elaine (Jimmy) Childers, Annette (Eddie) Dunn and Joan Moore; one daughter: Lynn (Shane) Parson; one granddaughter, Rebecca Parson; a special sister in love, Barbara (Darrell) Sorrells and a very special couple, Ce Ce and Butch Fields. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Services to celebrate Jackie's life will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Hulsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Rockmart Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will include: Colby Cannon, Jan Cannon, Michael Childers, Joe Garmon, Jordan Gregory and Jon Cole. Honorary pallbearers will include Larry Waters and the Brotherhood of Morning View Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12 noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
