Jacob (Bobo) Newberry

Mr. Jacob (Bo Bo) Newberry, age 22, of Yarbrough Road Aragon, GA passed away Friday, July 12, 2013 from injuries received in a multi car automobile accident in Bartow County, GA.

Jacob was born in Rome, GA on November 29, 1990 a son of Joey Newberry and Phyllis Wilkins Newberry. He had lived all of his life in Aragon and was a 2009 graduate of Rockmart High School and a 2012 graduate of Georgia Northwestern Technical College with a degree in welding. He was an employee of L & L Industries of White, GA and was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church.

Jacob enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing and playing the guitar. He was a great friend and a wonderful son.

He is survived by his parents: Joey and Phyllis Newberry, Aragon; a brother Kyle Newberry of Aragon and his girlfriend, Emily Dabbs, Rockmart; grandparents: grandparents, Sue and Kenneth Newberry, Silver Creek and Jane and Fred Wilkins, Dallas; aunt and uncle, James and Jennifer Wright, Aragon, cousins: Chadd and Brooke Wright, Virginia Beach, VA and Blake and Caitlin Wright, Aragon; aunt and uncle, Glynn and Autumn Phillips, Dallas and cousins, Summer, Brooke, Nathan and Amber Phillips, Dallas; aunt, Melanie Wilkins, Dallas; aunt and uncle, Jeff and Stacy Newberry, Silver Creek; cousins: Chris Brownholtz, Aaron, Nick and Nicki Butler, Silver Creek; aunt and uncle: Karen and Danny Little, Silver Creek; cousin, Corey Little, Silver Creek; aunt and uncle, Christy and Quinton Stephens, Silver Creek; cousins: Maggie, Matthew and Madison Stephens, Silver Creek; aunt and uncle, Misty and Ron Trahan, Silver Creek; cousins: Kinzie, Marc and Miley Trahan, Silver Creek.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Antioch Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Jeff Dabbs and Reverend Tim Deems officiating. Interment will follow in the Flint Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will include: Ricky Deems, Scott Carter, David Wigley, Devin Lester, Dillon Harpe and Luke Hembree. Honorary pallbearers will include: Tyler Hembree, Danny Davis, Colton Davis, Danny Ferguson, Daniel Cook, Hayden Cook, Keith Cook, Cole Duke and Adam Holley.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial gifts be made to MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), 1000 Circle 75 Parkway SE Atlanta, GA 30339.
