James B. (J.J.) Jones

Mr. James B. (J.J.) Jones, age 87, of Rockmart, GA passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 in a Rome medical center.

He was born in Yorkville, GA on April 20, 1928 a son of the late Paschal W. Jones and Lemma Matthews Jones. Mr. Jones and his family lived in East Point, GA for a number of years before returning to Rockmart in 1987. He retired from National Service Industries following a 37 year career. Mr. Jones was a member of the Yorkville Methodist Church, he loved to fish, shoot pool and enjoyed napping in his recliner. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ann Hulsey Jones of Rockmart to whom he was married on August 5, 1946; two sons: Mr. Terry Jones, Marietta and Mr. Reggie Jones , Fayetteville; a brother, Bobby Jones, San Diego, CA; four grandchildren, one great granddaughter and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Hulsey officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Bobby Renshaw, David Durham,Tory Jones, Reggie Jones, Jr., Manual Hardman, Rudy Jones and Thomas Hulsey.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
