James Francis "Big Jim" Brady

James Francis Brady, age 69, of Aragon, GA, passed away Monday, March 31, 2025, at his residence.

“Big Jim”, as he was affectionately known, was born in Brooklyn, NY, on September 13, 1955, son of the late William Brady and Anne McGinely Brady. He moved to Polk County in 2011 and was a self-employed roofer. James enjoyed watching television, drinking sodas, was a chain smoker (even though his wasn’t supposed to smoke) and was an avid storyteller.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a grandson, Eddie Berger, Jr.

Big Jim is survived by his wife, Wendy Barnes Brady; daughter, Lisa Moss; son, James “Jimmy” Brady; step-sons, Eddie Berger, Brian Berger, and Alfred Berger; grandchildren, Anthony Brady, Victoria Gonzalez, Vanessa Moss, Thomas Moss, Jr., Violet Moss, Angelica Brady, Sarah Berger, Amanda Berger, Brittany Berger, and Emily Berger; great-grandchildren, Keil Ortiz and Thomas Moss, III; sister, Eileen Molinaro.

In keeping with his wishes, James will be cremated and a Mass to honor his life is being planned at a later date in New York.
