Mr. James Curtis Baker, Jr., age 46, of Buchanan, GA passed away Friday, August 10, 2012 in a Villa Rica medical center.
He was born in Polk County, GA on June 5, 1966, a son of Anita Jacobs Baker and the late James Curtis Baker, Sr. Mr. Baker had lived all of his life in the Polk County area and was of the Baptist Faith. He had been employed by Hand?s Poultry Farms and he had also worked at Tip Top Poultry. Fishing was a favorite hobby of Mr. Baker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. James Curtis Baker, Sr.; step father, Mr. Fred ?Punkin? Parrish; grandfather, Mr. Marvin Jacobs and grandparents, Mr. Robert and Mrs. Maggie Rae Baker.
Survivors include his significant other, Mrs. Linda Gay Overstreet, Buchanan; mother, Mrs. Anita Parrish, Aragon; grandmother, Mildred Jacobs, Rockmart; sister, Rhonda Lee and her husband Jabo, Tallapoosa; brother, Tony Baker and his wife Stacey, Rockmart; nephews: Steven Lee, Tallapoosa, Jonathan Guice, Rockmart, Jacob Baker, Rockmart and Brylin Guice, Rockmart; two nieces Jordan Baker, Rockmart and Katie Lee, Tallapoosa; two grandsons: Dylan Overstreet and Devon Overstreet both of Buchanan.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 12, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Matt Meeks and Bro. Dan Hand officiating.
Pallbearers will include: Gene Hand, David Hand, Jacob Baker, Randy Cash, Richard Prejean and Jabo Lee.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
