James Kenneth Reeves

Mr. James Kenneth (Jamie) Reeves, age 41, of Taylorsville, GA passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012 in Cartersville, GA.

He was born in Rockmart, GA on October 13, 1971 a son of Ralph Kenneth Reeves and Shirley Ann Dean Reeves. Jamie had lived most of his life in Bartow County where he was a graduate of Cass High School and had attended Floyd College. He was of the Holiness faith. Jamie was employed by RFI Distribution of Cartersville. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Kenneth Reeves in 1997.

Survivors include his wife, Denise Reeves of Taylorsville to whom he was married on September 27, 2008; a daughter, Anna Reeves, Dacula, GA; three step daughters: Kendra Payne, Taylorsville, Clarissa Payne, Taylorsville and Joanna Garmon, Cumming; mother, Shirley Reeves, Taylorsville; and one step grandson, Jeremiah Garmon, Cumming.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Overton officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson-Reeves Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: David Scott, Daniel Scott, Bobby Truett, Josh Truett, Gary Hunnicutt and Joey Cribb.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
