James L. (Jim) Grubbs

Mr. James L. (Jim) Grubbs, age 69, of Rockmart passed away suddenly at his residence on Sunday, July 7, 2019.

He was born in Talladega, Alabama on April 6, 1950 a son of Frank Grubbs, Sr. and Frances White Grubbs. Mr. Grubbs had been a resident of Rockmart for the past twenty seven years moving here from Rome. He retired from Wal Mart where he had worked for nearly twenty years. Mr. Grubbs enjoyed fishing and hunting and playing with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; by five brothers: Douglas, Jerry, Robert, Roger and Frank Grubbs, Jr. and by two sisters: Eloise Carter and Nancy Scott.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Grubbs to whom he was married on May 31, 1990; two sons: Brian Grubbs and Douglas Grubbs; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother, Ricky Grubbs and two sisters: Sarah Burdette and Debra Kay Hudson.

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Grubbs was cremated and the family will receive friends on Saturday, July 13, 2019 between the hours of 10:00 am and 2:00 pm at Pine Grove Baptist Church, 2765 County Road 22, Centre, AL 35959.
