James Terry Barron

Mr. James Terry Barron, age 56, of Rome, GA passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019.

He was born in Rome, GA on February 11, 1963, a son of James Emory "Pete" Barron and Betty Graham Barron. Mr. Barron lived the greater part of his life in Rockmart before moving back to Rome where he has lived for the past ten years. Some of the things that Mr. Barron enjoyed were: hunting, fishing, NASCAR, the Atlanta Braves and UGA Football. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Emory "Pete" Barron.

Survivors include his two children: Jamie Schlief and her husband Brad, Rockmart and Trace Barron, Rockmart; two grandchildren: Laurel and Abel Schlief; step-mother, Shirley Moon, Aragon; sister, Sherry Wright, Silver Creek; three brothers: Michael Barron, Silver Creek, Tommy Barron, Silver Creek, Steven Bishop, Rome and Charles Bishop, Rome; aunt, Helen Baldwin, Aragon and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services will be held Friday, May 3, 2019 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Larry McCoy officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
