James Ronald Tinnan

Mr. James Ronald Tinnan, age 64, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Sunday evening, December 8, 2024.

Mr. Tinnan was born in Rockmart on December 27, 1959, a son of the late James “Jimmy” Tinnan and Geneva Wigley Tinnan. He had lived all his life in Rockmart and was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Tinnan was a retired truck driver who loved motorcycles. He collected all kind of things including knives, guns, jewelry and boots. Mr. Tinnan cherished his time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tinnan was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Earl Tinnan.

Mr. Tinnan is survived by his wife, Gaynelle “Gaye” Cline Tinnan, whom he married July 5, 2002; four children, Beth Brogdon, Ellie Buchanan, Nina Goss, and Holly Woods; brother, Donald Tinnan, Alaska. Eighteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren along with special brothers-in-law, Deryl Everette and Geoffery Singleton, several nieces and nephews and his dog, Skittles, also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Tinnan will be held on Thursday afternoon, December 12, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Wigley officiating. Interment will follow in Rockmart Memorial Gardens with Mr. Deryl Everette conducting graveside rites. Military rites will be conferred by the Honor Guard of Brown Wright Post 12 of the American Legion.

Mr. Tinnan’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Thursday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.

Pallbearers will include Logan Oliver, Deryl Everette, Adam Brogdon, Brent Oliver, Emerson Jackson, and Daelan Hulsey. Honorary pallbearers include Avery Swift, Blake Jackson, Jeremy Woods, and Mike Krawiec.
