Janet Bishop

Mrs. Janet Bishop, age 54 of Buchanan, GA and formerly of Rockmart passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 in a Buchanan nursing center following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Cedartown, GA on March 18, 1962, a daughter of the late Dennis F. Roberts and Ester Spearman Roberts. Mrs. Bishop had lived the greater part of her life in Polk County where she was a graduate of Cedartown High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the Euharlee Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis F. Roberts and a son Tony Bishop, Jr.

She is survived by her two children: D.J.(Jocelyn) Bishop, Windsor, MO and Anna (Cody) Bishop, Dallas; two grandchildren: Connor Bishop and Bentley Bishop; mother, Ester Roberts, Cedartown; two brothers: Clark Roberts, Cedartown and John Roberts, Cedartown; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Clements officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Clark Roberts, John Roberts, D.J. Bishop, Cody Holmes and Jacob Clements.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
