Mr. Jason Lee Campbell ,age, 30, of Las Cruces, New Mexico and formerly of Dallas, GA passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in New Mexico.
Jason was born in Marietta, GA on September 7, 1982 a son of Dwight Campbell and Belinda Weaver Campbell. He was a 2002 graduate of Paulding County High School. Jason enjoyed sports having played in both recreational league basketball and baseball. While in high school he was a member of the wrestling team. Jason loved to spend time outdoors especially with his friends. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Dallas, GA.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from 2004 until 2012 and had served two tours of duty in Iraq and one tour of duty in Afghanistan. For the past four years he had been a resident of Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Tayleur Benton Campbell of Las Cruces, NM to whom he was married on July 15, 2008; parents: Dwight and Belinda Campbell, Dallas, GA; brother, Brent Campbell, Dallas, GA; grandmothers: Dorothy Hutcheson, Cedartown, GA and Virginia Campbell, Dallas, GA; and two nephews: Parker and Kenneth Campbell.
Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of the Alvis Miler & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, April 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. James Cordell officiating. The Honor Guard of Brown-Wright Post # 12 of the American Legion will
conduct military rites.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
Following the funeral service on Sunday the family will gather in the fellowship hall of the Church of Christ, 201 Slate St. Rockmart.
The Alvis Miller & Son Funearl Home is in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Mr. Jason Lee Campbell.
