Jeanette Eason Spencer

Mrs. Jeanette Eason Spencer, age 83, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Friday morning, March 14, 2025.

Mrs. Spencer was born in Carrollton, GA, on June 12, 1941, daughter of the late Harvey B. Eason, Sr., and Grace Hightower Eason. She had lived her childhood years in Austell, GA, and was a graduate of South Cobb High School. The greater part of Mrs. Spencer’s adult life was lived in Mableton, GA, where she was a seafood manager with Kroger’s prior to retirement. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling, loved word search and crossword games. Mrs. Spencer enjoyed spending time on Facebook, surfing the internet and cherished the time she got to spend with her family. She had lived in Rockmart for the past 3 years and was a member of Rockmart Church of God.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Spencer was preceded in death by her husband, Broadus Spencer.

Mrs. Spencer is survived by her three children, Donna (Charles) Bautz, Dwayne (Christy) Spencer, and Dennis (Retta) Spencer; three grandchildren, Amelia Bautz, Brooke Leerdam, and Micah Lively; three brothers, Harvey Eason, Jr., Artis Eason, and Arlin Eason. Seven Great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Spencer will be held on Wednesday afternoon, March 19, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Rockmart Church of God with Rev. Mike Pasley and Rev. Richie Haney officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Bowdon, GA. Mrs. Spencer will lie in-state at the church on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the service hour.

Mrs. Spencer’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, March18, 2025, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will include Kyle Eason, Jeff Eason, Justin Eason, Michael Lewis, Victor Perez, and A. J. Haney.
