Jeanette Waits

Mrs. Jeanette Waits, age 91, of Rockmart passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at her residence following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Polk County, GA on May 9, 1923 a daughter of the late Aubrey Coalson and Minnie Moody Coalson. Mrs. Waits had lived all of her life in the Rockmart area where she was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church. She retired from the Goodyear Mill with over 40 years of service. Mrs. Waits was preceded in death by her husband, Ira S. Waits on March 20, 2002 and by a sister, Annie Mae Christopher and by three brothers: Herbert, Floyd and J.T. Coalson.

Survivors include two sons: Larry H. Waits and wife Delane, Rockmart and Dennis R. Waits and wife Cheryl Aragon; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Friday, October 31, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. David Warriner officiating.
