Mrs. Jennie Thompson Streetman, age 71, of Aragon, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in a Rome medical center.
She was born on November 26, 1941 in Polk County, a daughter of the late Rev. Walter Thompson and Ruth Massey Thompson. Mrs. Streetman had lived the greater part of her life in Polk County where she was a faithful member of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of the Goodyear Mill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters: Lois Henson and Estella Thompson.
Survivors include her husband, Doyce E. Streetman to whom she was married on August 1, 1959; one son, Kenneth Streetman and wife Dawne; three grandchildren: Kendra Jackson and her husband, David Jackson, Jr., Brandon Streetman and Joshua Streetman; one great granddaughter Allison Jackson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Archie Streetman, Rev. Charles Sutton and Rev. Tim Deems officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include: Brandon Streetman, Joshua Streetman, David Jackson, Jr., Olin Streetman, Jack Streetman and Everette Sutton.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
