Jerry Duane Gazaway

Mr. Jerry Duane Gazaway, age 68, lifelong resident of Polk County, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. He was born on January 29, 1953 in Rockmart, GA, to his late parents: Edward Gazaway and Evelyn Hardin Gazaway McNabb. Jerry was a graduate of Rockmart High School and loved any and all sports, especially Georgia Bulldog football! Mr. Gazaway will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Bobby Shepherd, grandparents: John and Gertrude Hardin and Ben and Christine Gazaway.

Mr. Gazaway is survived by his daughter, Savannah Gazaway of Rockmart, GA, one grandson, three sisters: Gayle Shepherd, of Cartersville, GA, Sheila Grogan of Cedartown, GA and June Demore of Roopville, GA, and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In keeping with Mr. Gazaway's wishes, his body will be cremated and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
