Mr. Jerry Lee (Boggs) Warren, Sr., age 66, of Gadsden, AL passed away Thursday, August 26, 2010 in a Gadsden Medical Center.
He was born in Atlanta, GA on June 16, 1944 a son of the late Jimmy Warren and Eva Mae Murrow Warren. Mr. Warren had been a resident of Gadsden since 2009 moving from Cedartown where he had lived for the past twenty years. He was of the Baptist faith. Prior to ill health he had been employed in the construction industry. Mr. Warren was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Patsy Warren of Gadsden to whom he was married on June 16, 1944; two daughters: Stephanie Easterwood, Cedartown and Elizabeth Long, Fairmount; two sons: Jimmy Eagle, Gadsden and Jerry Lee Warren, Jr., Cedartown; two sisters: Linda Gail Smith, Dallas and Easter Sunday Ogles, Madison; two brothers: Bennie Eugene Warren, Rome and William Henry Warren, Villa Rica; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 29, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Easterwood officiating. Interment will follow in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery of Dallas, GA.
Pallbearers will include: Brian Keith Smith, James Warren, Jr., Walter Speakman, Gary Speakman, Reg McCormick, Jimmy Long, Timmy Myers and Jeff Newton.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 11a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Mr. Jerry Lee (Boggs) Warren.
