Jimmy Cordle

Mr. Jimmy Cordle, age 77, of Aragon, GA passed away Friday, March 18, 2016.

He was born in Trion, GA on December 10, 1938 a son of the late Kellett Cordle and Jewell Gayton Cordle. Mr. Cordle has been a resident of Aragon since 1968. He was saved at the age of nine years at the Welcome Hill Baptist Church of Trion, GA. Mr. Cordle was a retired electrician having worked through IBEW Local 613. He enjoyed antique cars, country music and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Patricia Ann Cordle on November 29, 2008 and by a son, Roger Cordle on October 31, 2008.

He is survived by three children: Pam Johnson, Aragon; Tim Cordle, Cumming and Melissa Watts, Aragon; sister, Shirley Gray, Kennesaw; fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Aragon Cemetery with Rev. Jessie Starnes officiating and eulogies given by his family.

Grandchildren serving as pallbearers will include: Becky Johnson, Zackery Lewis, Ben Lewis, Ariel Lewis, Jodi Dover, Haven Payne, Rachel Perkins and Mychaylah Johnson.

The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the graveside funeral service of Mr. Jimmy Cordle.
