Mr. Jimmy Duncan, age 73, of Aragon, GA, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022.
Mr. Duncan was born on November 14, 1948 in Buchanan, GA, to his parents: James Thomas Duncan and Lottie Redden Duncan. Jimmy lived the greater part of his life in Polk and Floyd County and was a member of Wimberly Hill Baptist Church. He was self employed as a Sheet Rock Finisher. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing! Mr. Duncan was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Claudie Duncan, Raymond Duncan, R.C. Duncan, Marvin Duncan, Johnny Duncan & J.W. Duncan and his sister, Ludie Busby.
Jimmy is survived by his 3 sons: Joey Duncan of Rome, GA, Jamie DeWayne Duncan (Nikki) of Rome, GA and Little Jimmy Duncan of Rome, GA; several grandchildren; 4 sisters: Sudie Cumbaa, Ruby Redden, Janie Duncan and Nancy Babb (Kenneth); 2 brothers: Randy Duncan and Benny Duncan; brother-in-law, Thornie Busby; sister-in-law, Joyce Duncan and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Duncan will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 2:00 PM in The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Lawson and Rev. Michael Edwards officiating. Interment will follow the service at Wimberly Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Chris Duncan, Steven Redden, Michael Duncan, John Redden, Joe Redden Jeremy Rodgers and David Cothran.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 12:00 PM until the service hour at 2:00 PM.
