Jimmy Edward Hardin

Mr. Jimmy Edward Hardin, age 79, of Aragon, GA, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at his residence. 

Mr. Hardin was born on December 12, 1944 in Paulding County, GA. He was the son of the late Henry Luther Hardin and Mary Evelyn Crowley – Hardin. He had lived most of his life in Polk County, GA. Mr. Hardin was a graduate of Rockmart High School and retired from Lockheed-Martin after 38 years of service. He was a member of Seney Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Hardin. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters: Connie Faye Hardin in 2013 and Angela Marie Hardin in 1974. 

Survivors also include his daughter, Haley Harris (Thad) of Taylorsville, GA; brother, Jerry Hardin of Cedartown, GA; brother, Hugh Hardin (Martha) of Buchanan, GA and sister, Anne Wheeler (Billy) of Rockmart, GA; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. 

Graveside Services to honor the life of Mr. Jimmy Edward Hardin will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 4:00 PM at Rockmart Memorial Gardens with Brother Ashely Haney and Brother Chris Cabe officiating. 

Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Tommy Haney, Geoffery Harden, Jerry Deems, Billy Deems, Stephen Ely and Tommy Greer. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM.
