Mrs. Joanne Bishop White, age 91, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024, in Snyder, TX.

Mrs. White was born in Rockmart on November 8, 1932, a daughter of the late Joseph G.W. Bishop and Nettie Barrett Bishop. She had lived the greater part of her life in Rockmart and was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Mrs. White had lived in the Athens, GA area from 1956 util 1962, moving back to Rockmart, then in 2019, she moved to Snyder. She had worked her entire career in healthcare, working with Georgia Baptist Hospital for 17 years, Polk Medical Center for 4 years and retired from WellStar Paulding as a Licensed Practical Nurse after 15 years of service. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace L. White, whom she married in 1956. A brother, Franklin Bishop, and two sisters, Harriette Lucille Bishop and Mary Lorene Bright also preceded her in death.

Mrs. White is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Graveside and interment services for Mrs. White will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 12:00 noon in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jason Purser officiating.
