Joe Elray Garmon, Sr.

Mr. Joe Elray Garmon, Sr. age 81, of Rockmart, GA passed away Friday, March 5, 2021.

Mr. Garmon was born in Aragon, GA on March 27, 1939, a son of the late Joseph S. Garmon and the late Lois Brown Garmon. Joe had lived the great part of his life in Polk County where he was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church. He was a former trucking manager for Capitol Products. Joe enjoyed old cars and he was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Survivors include his wife of sixty two years, Judy Garmon, Rockmart; daughter, Pam Garmon, St. Augustine, FL; son, Joe Garmon and his wife, Wanda, Rockmart; two grandchildren: Brandon Roberts (Heather) and Joey Garmon; brother, Mike Garmon (Elaine), Cedartown; sister, Jean Bray, Cedartown; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Private family graveside funeral and interment services will be held in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Justin Arnold officiating.
