John Andrew Daniel

Mr. John Andrew Daniel, age 76, of Temple, GA, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday morning, March 16, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Daniel was born in Dublin, GA, on January 3, 1948, a son of the late Marion Shaw Daniel and Elizabeth Jerusha Moore Daniel. He received an Associate Degree of Pharmacy from Mercer University in Atlanta, GA, prior to being drafted into the United States Army. Following his duty in the Army, Mr. Daniel decided to go elsewhere with his career and started a long association with BellSouth, from which he retired after 30 years of service. He lived in Marietta, GA while working with BellSouth, and upon retiring he left there and bought a farm in Temple, GA where he lived until his death. Mr. Daniel loved sitting on his front porch watching the sunrise and drinking coffee. He enjoyed working with his tractor, piddling and rigging, and working on restoring rental houses. Mr. Daniel's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Daniel was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Ray Daniel. 

Mr. Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Gwinette W. Daniel, whom he married on September 10, 1967; two sons and daughters-in-law, John Christopher and Stephanie Andrea Daniel, and Robert Stephen and Nicole Gendron Daniel; granddaughters, Mary Christian, Darian Elizabeth, Shelby Andrea, Gracie Shaw, Sydney Gwynn and Madison Lynn; great-grandson, Luke James Daniel; brother, Bruce and Toney Daniel.

Graveside and interment services for Mr. Daniel will be held on Tuesday, March 19 at 2:00 p.m. in Sunset Memory Gardens of Cartersville with Dr. Mason Bush officiating. The Brown-Wright Post 12 of the American Legion will confer military graveside rites.

Mr. Daniel will be carried home on Monday, March 18 where the family will receive friends.
