John Mathew Lanier

Mr. John Mathew Lanier, age 46, of Rockmart, GA passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014 in a Rome medical center following a brief illness.

He was born in Rockmart, GA on February 9, 1968 a son of John Curtis Lanier, Jr. and Betty Wilson Lanier. John graduated from Rockmart High School, loved to work outdoors, enjoyed fishing and was always ready to help others. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Lanier to whom he was married on May 12, 2012; son, Stetson Lanier, Dallas, GA; father, John Lanier, Rockmart and sister, Stacey Smith, Rockmart.

A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
