Jolene F. Gravitt

Mrs. Jolene F. Gravitt, age 91, of Rockmart, GA passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at her residence following several months of declining health.

She was born on September 6, 1928 in Jasper, GA a daughter of the late Burton B. Fowler and the late Mamie Disharoon Fowler. Mrs. Gravitt had been a resident of Polk county since 1978 moving here from Cobb county. She was a member of the Bellview Baptist Church and the Helping Hands Sunday School Class. She was a retired school bus driver for the Cobb County School System and loved to travel.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, S.R. (Ray) Gravitt and by three sisters: Bertie Barfield, Margie Wigley and Jewell Thomas and a brother, Howard Fowler

Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Gravitt, Rockmart; grandson, Matthew Gravitt (Valerie), Dallas; two great grandchildren: Emily Gravitt and Jacob Gravitt; and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with local, state and federal guidelines a private graveside service will be held in the Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery on Friday, April 24, 2020 with Paul Wigley officiating.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
