Joyce Lucille Williams

Mrs. Joyce Lucille Williams, age 82, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. She was born on September 16, 1938 in Taylorsville, GA, to her late parents: Olin Maxwell and Mary Bell Waters Maxwell. Mrs. Williams spent all her life in the Rockmart area and was a faithful member of Rockmart Church of God for many years. Joyce enjoyed watching her boys play softball growing up and watching Atlanta Braves baseball and her flowers. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family and sweet grandchildren. Mrs. Williams was retired from General Motors and had worked for Ken Mar Carpet. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her loving husband, Ed Williams of Rockmart, GA, sons: Phil Williams and his wife, Sheree of Aragon, GA, Ken Williams and his wife, Linda of Rockmart, GA, grandchildren: Brody Williams and Keziah Williams, sisters: Frances Abernathy of Rockmart, GA, Janice Schildt of Dallas, GA, brothers: Ralph Maxwell (Wilma) of Aragon, GA, Forrest Maxwell (Diane) of Rockmart, GA and Larry Maxwell (Marcia) of Panama City Beach, FL and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Joyce Lucille Williams will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 4:00 PM from the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Pasley officiating. Interment will follow the service at Rockmart Memorial Gardens with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: David Duke, Barry Maxwell, Tony Maxwell, Marion Reynolds, James Gordy, Dave Hardin, Ricky Tenney and Lee Tenney. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Haven Thomas and Lee Mauldin.

The family of Mrs. Williams would like to extend a special thank you to the Pizza Farm Softball Team for the love, support and special memories over the years.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 2:00 PM until the service begins at 4:00 PM.
