Judy Jackson Robinson

Mrs. Judy Lynn Robinson, age 61, of Rockmart, GA passed away suddenly on Friday, March 31, 2023.

Judy was born on November 19, 1961, a daughter of the late Coy Rena Jackson and the late Mary Alice Meers Jackson. She had lived all of her life in Rockmart where she was a lifetime member of the Morning View Baptist Church, the Ladies Sunday School Class and “55 Alive” at Morning View. Judy loved her church where she enjoyed singing and was a member of the Jackson 3: Janet, Judy, and Jill. Judy loved her family, and her two grandsons Brooks and Thatcher were her world. She was the former office manager for Dr. Shumpert and retired from the State of Georgia where she worked in medical coding.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Robinson, on January 15, 2020, to whom she was married on September 27, 1980.

Judy is survived by a daughter, Lindsey Robinson; son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Emily Robinson; two grandsons, Brooks and Thatcher Robinson; two sisters, Janet Dover and Jill Gowens and her husband, David.

Funeral services for Judy will be held Tuesday, April 4. 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Morning View Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Hulsey officiating and her son Ryan Robinson delivering a eulogy. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include David Gowens, Ryan Robinson, David Jackson, Will Dover, Wes Dover, Justin Dover, Brody Gowens and Branson Gowens. Honorary pallbearers will include Brooks Robinson, Thatcher Robinson, Dalton Gowens, and the Ladies School Day Sunday School Class.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
