Judy S. Cantrell

Mrs. Judy S. Cantrell, age 62, of 853 MLK, Jr. Drive Rockmart passed away suddenly Monday, January 12, 2009.


She was born in Floyd County, GA on August 9, 1946 a daughter of the late Charlie Peek Sanders and Lillian Grace Streetman Sanders. Mrs. Cantrell had lived all of her life in Polk County and was a member of the Euharlee Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. John Dennis ( J.D.) Cantrell on February 16, 2008 to whom she was married on November 1, 1968, by a brother, Mr. Charlie Ladell Sanders and by two sisters: Mrs. Ineta Burnley and Mrs. Sue McKibben. Mrs. Cantrell was a former employee of the Bartow County School System.


Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Denise Nale and her husband Robert; two grandchildren: Anthony and Briana Nale; one brother, Mr. James W. Sanders, all of Rockmart.


Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Moore and Minister Alvis Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Aragon Cemetery.


Pallbearers will include: David Burnley, Will Pittman, David Pittman, Anthony Nale, Tim Holley and Allen Williams

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
