Justin Lewis Deems

Mr. Justin Lewis Deems, age 25, of Rockmart, GA passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 from injuries received in an industrial accident.

Justin was born in Rome, GA on July 15, 1990 a son of the late Ralph Lewis Deems and the late Paula Allen Deems. He had lived all of his life in Polk County and was a graduate of Rockmart High School. Justin loved to fish and go camping. He was a former employee of Rockmart Rent To Own and had been employed since May of 2015 with JCG Farms.

Survivors include his wife Ashley Hobert Deems to whom he was married on July 11, 2015; two brothers: Jason Deems and Travis Deems; two sisters: Ashley Williams and Hope Deems; mother, Rita Deems; Nanny, Barbara Brinkley; grandparents, Burt and Mary Jane Tibbetts and numerous half brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Akers officiating and Mr. Derrick Tilley delivering a eulogy. Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Chris Winters, Joseph Bright, Travis Deems, Jason Deems, Josh Blair and Derrick Tilley.

The family will receive friends Friday from 12 noon until the service hour at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
