Karl Wayne Vancil

Mr. Karl Wayne Vancil, age 82, of Cedartown, GA passed away Friday, December 6, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Vancil was born in Rockmart, GA on August 3, 1937 a son of the late W.M. Vancil and the late Ruth Hutchings Vancil. He lived in California for twenty seven years before returning to Rockmart in 1983. He had made his home in Cedartown for the past three years. He was a graduate of L.A. State College in Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Vancil was a member of the Rockmart First United Methodist Church where he was a member of the choir. He owned and operated the Rockmart Florist for many years before his retirement. Mr. Vancil was instrumental with the organization of the Rockmart Community Chorus in which he remained active for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers: Lowell Vancil, Sr. and Edgar Vancil and by a sister, Sylvia R. Bryant.

Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside memorial services will be held in the Rose Hill Cemetery on Sunday December 8, 2019 at 4:00 pm with Rev. Thomas Hall officiating.
