Keith Morris

Mr. Keith Morris, age 65, of Nashville, TN and formerly of Rockmart, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 in Nashville.

Keith was born in Rockmart, GA on September 12, 1955, a son of the late James Floyd “Shorty” Morris and the late Martha Grace Mosley Morris. He spent his childhood years in Rockmart where he was a graduate of Rockmart High School. He was active in sports and enjoyed fishing. In 1993 he left Rockmart to pursue his dream of writing country music. Over the years he wrote hundreds of songs and was well known in the county music family.

In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his sister, Carlene Griffin

Survivors include his daughter, Rhiannon Childers; three grandchildren: Kristyn, Devan and Houston; two great-grandchildren: Cheyanne and Remi Grace; two brothers: Donald Morris and his wife, Robin, Rockmart and Larry Morris and his wife, Susan, Rockmart; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 26, 2021 at 7:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Snapp officiating. Eulogies will given by Brother Melton Moss and Mr. Larry Morris.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 PM until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
