Kelsie Cecil "K.C." Coker

Mr. Kelsie Cecil “K.C.” Coker, age 86, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024.

Mr. Coker was born on November 28, 1937 in Rockmart, GA and was the son of the late Mr. Henry Cecil Coker and Mrs. Beulah Frances Williams Coker. K.C. lived the greater part of his life in Rockmart and was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. He enjoyed Gospel music, attending gospel singings and he especially loved The Heirborn Quartet. Mr. Coker was retired from Shaw Industries, where he had worked for 36 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vera Lorene Sanders and Emma Louise Locklear and brother, Raymond Eugene Coker.

He is survived by his sister, Betty Jean Prather; brother, Royce Harold Coker and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. Kelsie Cecil “K.C.” Coker will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 3:00 PM in the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Glen Dennis officiating. Interment will follow the service at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Ronnie Prather, Dustin Saunderson, Randy Prather, Jim Cagle and Vaughn Campbell.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
