Kenneth Lamar Head, Sr.

Mr. Kenneth Lamar (Kenny) Head, Sr., age 47, of Rockmart passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013 in a Rome medical center following a brief illness.

Kenny was born in Rockmart on January 7, 1966 and had lived all of his life here. He loved to cook, fish and go camping. He had worked in construction prior to ill health and had most recently worked at Rockmart Rent To Own. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Vicky Brinkley Head of Rockmart to whom he was married on June 9, 2000; by four children: Colt Watson, Cedartown, Kenneth Lamar Head, Jr., Rockmart, Jessica Crawford, Cedartown and Jennifer Head, Cedartown; mother, Donna Turner, Rockmart; step father, Wendle Hayes, Rockmart; sister, Melissa Mengel, Aragon; eight grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Deems and Rev. Ronald Head officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will include: B.J. Deems, Brandon Deems, Lamar Head, Justin Deems, Johnny Combs and Allen Wisener. Honorary pallbearers will include: Jeffrey Bright, Joseph Bright, Luther Jones and Derrick Tilley.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
