Landon Scott Sides

Mr. Landon Scott Sides, age 20, of Cedartown, GA passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Cobb General Hospital, Austell, GA.

Landon was born October 9, 1996. He had lived all of his life in the Rockmart and Aragon area. He was a member of the Wimberly Hill Baptist Church and his hobbies included skateboarding and playing the guitar.

He was preceded in death by grandparents: Joe and Lena Turner, Peggy Mitchell and Diane Sides; by an uncle, Billy Sides and aunt Brenda Ingram.

Survivors include his father, Kevin Sides and wife Tammy, Cedartown; mother, Marenda Waters and husband Jason, Rockmart; sister, Lacey Sides, Rockmart; brother, Christopher Lane Sides, Cedartown; grandfather, Sam Sides, Cedartown; grandparents, Sue and Noble Waters, Aragon; niece, Oakleigh Sides, Rockmart.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Swift officiating and a eulogy given by Steve Johnson. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery, Cedartown.

Pallbearers will include: Brian Pyles, Kyler Gay, C.J. Hilburn, Chris Green, Lane Sides and Dusty Powell. Honorary pallbearers will include: Chris Short, Dalton Dover, Jacob Green, Andrew Hershman, Drew Jackson and Cash Hughes.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
