Lanell B. Carter

Mrs. Lanell B. Carter, age 90, of Cedartown, GA, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.

Mrs. Carter was born on September 15, 1931 in Cedartown, GA, to her late parents: Ralph Bullock and Frances Atkins Bullock. Lanell lived all her life in the Antioch area and was a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church. She retired from Arrow Shirt Factory in 1987, where she had worked as a supervisor for many years. Mrs. Carter was an artist, she loved to crochet, paint and was a wonderful cook. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, R. L. Grogan in 1998 and her second husband, Charles Carter in 2013 and her sister, Gladys Queen.

Mrs. Carter is survived by her daughter, Marcia Cannon-Hudgins of Cedartown, GA; son, Randy Grogan and his wife, Debbie of Cedartown, GA; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, July 10, 2022 at 3:00 pm in the Antioch Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service Sunday from 2:00 pm until the memorial hour at the church.
