Larry Frank "Frankie" Burnley

Mr. Larry Frank “Frankie” Burnley, age 72, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025, at his residence.

Frankie was born in Rockmart on August 3, 1952, son of the late Burl Huel Burnley and Ollie Mae McAllister Burnley. He had lived all his life in Rockmart and attended Calvary Baptist Church. Frankie retired from C. W. Matthews Paving, where he was an equipment operator. He also worked as a handyman for Frank Statham Realty for many years. Frankie enjoyed cutting grass, working outside, and buying lottery tickets. He loved old trucks, especially his own truck he called the “Ugly Duckling”. Frankie was always making people laugh and cherished the time he was able to spend with his family.

In addition to his parents, Frankie was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Burnley.

Frankie is survived by his wife, Margaret Blackmon Burnley; seven children, Stevie Burnley, James Burnley, Patricia King, April Suggs, Rachel Hayes, Amanda Blackmon, Jada Shea Smith, and Lucas Oakland; two sisters, Diane Hogue and Shelia Painter; three brothers, Sammy Jackson, Terry Burnley, and Ricky Burnley. Fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In keeping with his wishes, Frankie will be cremated, and no formal services are planned this time.
