Larry (Skeeter) Young

Mr. Larry (Skeeter) Young, age 69, of Rockmart passed away Friday, June 14, 2019 in a Rome medical center.

He was born in Atlanta, GA on July 26, 1949, a son of the late Harris Edward Young and the late Lena Hudson Young Russell. Skeeter had lived in Rockmart for the past thirty years moving here from Marietta. He Loved to ride motorcycles, fish and attend church. Skeeter worked in construction most of his life and he was a member of the Hillside Fellowship Church in Silver Creek.

Survivors include his three sisters: Janet Deaver and her husband Rick, Stone Mountain, Beth Richardson and her husband Jeff, Taylorsville and Cherie Poss and her husband Skeeter, Rockmart; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services to celebrate the life of Mr. Larry (Skeeter) Young will be held Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Arrington and Pastor Kim Wolfe officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 11:00 am until the memorial hour at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hillside Fellowship Church, PO Box 346, Silver Creek, GA 30173 in memory of Skeeter.
