Mrs. Lesa Davenport Kimbro, age 60, of Rockmart passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta.
She was born in Rome, GA on June 4, 1959, a daughter of the late James Duane Davenport and the late Billie Jean Motes Davenport. Mrs. Kimbro lived all of her life in Polk County where she retired from Polk School District after twenty six years of service. During her time with the school system she touched many lives and made a positive impact on all those she came in contact with. Lesa loved crafts, going to the lake and traveling with her family. She was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Robin Cheetwood, Rockmart; son, Kyle Trout and his wife Rachel, Rockmart; two daughters: Kelci Kimbro, Rockmart and Kole Kimbro, Rockmart; granddaughter, Demi Kate Trout; brother, Jimmy Davenport and his wife Amy, Cedartown; sister, Cathy Albea and husband Sam, Rockmart; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church of Rockmart with Rev. Colt Deems officiating and the eulogy given by Sam Braswell Albea. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include: Daniel Teal, Daniel Wright, Alex Powell, Kyle Sherfesee, Taylor Hughes and Ty Tenney.
Mrs. Kimbro will lie instate on Saturday at the First United Methodist Church from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00 until 9:00 pm at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
