Linda Louise Ward

Mrs. Linda Louise Ward, age 77, of Taylorsville, GA, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday morning, January 1, 2024.

Mrs. Ward was born on December 1, 1946, in Cartersville, GA, daughter of the late Ralph Samuel Edwards and Frances Wigington Edwards. She had lived all her life in Bartow County and was a housewife and homemaker. Mrs. Ward had attended Calvary Holiness Church for many years. She enjoyed her miniature horses for many years.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by an infant son, Clayton Samuel Martin.

Mrs. Ward is survived by her husband, Jimmy Ward, whom she married in October of 1987; two daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Tim Evans of Rydal, GA, and Donna and Michael Adams of Cartersville; one son, Shane Ward of Douglasville, GA; four grandsons, Justin Evans, Camden McGill, Seth McGill, and Bailey Ward; two great-grandchildren, Jackson Evans and Asher McGill; one great-granddaughter on the way in March, Maggie Evans; brother, Michael Charles Edwards of Rockmart, GA; two nephews, Brent Edwards and Daniel Edwards; one niece, Amanda Edwards.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ward will be Thursday afternoon, January 4, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Preacher Michael Sam Edwards and Preacher Scott Tharpe officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens of Cartersville.

Mrs. Ward’s family will receive friends Thursday at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers will include Justin Evans, Seth McGill, Camden McGill, Bailey Ward, Britt Earwood, and Wade Usher. Jimmy Shane Ward will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
