Linda Marie Mcdowell

Mrs. Linda Marie McDowell, age 58, of Cedartown, GA, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023, in Rome, GA.

Linda was born on January 3, 1965, a daughter of the late Clyde Norman Brown and Mary Jean Kellett Brown. She graduated from Rockmart High School and lived most of her life in Polk County. Linda worked for a number of years with TI Automotive. She enjoyed animals, especially her cats, flowers, and playing online bingo. Linda also enjoyed listening to music and her favorite artists were Conway Twitty and Alan Jackson. She adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her first husband, Darrell McDowell, and a brother, Charlie Brown.

Linda is survived by her husband, Darrell Keith Gentry, whom she married April 18, 2022; daughters, CJ Brown-Ashworth (Tommy), and Jessica Gentry; son, Norman Gentry; grandchildren, Jackson Harper Warren and Emmaleigh Warren; “the daughter she raised”, Ruby Pittman.

In keeping with her wishes, Linda will be cremated, and no formal service is planned at this time.
