Lorene Spoon Hindmon

Ms. Lorene Spoon Hindmon, age 94, of Cedartown, GA, passed away Sunday evening, May 12, 2024.

Ms. Hindmon was born in Piedmont, AL, on January 24, 1930, daughter of the late Luther Lafayette Spoon and Ada Johnson Spoon.  She had lived the greater part of her life in Polk County and was a member of Arrington Chapel Congregational Methodist Church of Piedmont.   Ms. Hindmon was employed for several years with Johnson’s Upholstery as a seamstress and loved playing cards and board games.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Hindmon was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph Spoon, Alvin Spoon, and Ed Spoon, and two sisters, Alene Snyder and Barbara Brock.

Ms. Hindmon is survived by two daughters, Kathy Floyd of Rockmart, GA, and Donna (William) Baxter of Cedartown; four grandchildren, Brian Floyd, Candice Baxter, Stacey Rogers, and Sandy Lane; great-grandchildren, Tyler Hood, Zachery Floyd, Braden Shultz, Marlee Shultz, Campbell Rogers, Ella Cate Rogers, Ashley Ingram, and Josh Lane.

In keeping with her wishes, Ms. Hindmon will be cremated, and no formal services are planned at this time.
