Lou Ella Carr

Ms. Lou Ella Carr, age 88, of Cedartown, GA and formerly of Cave Spring passed away Saturday, August 6, 2011 in Cedartown.


She was born in Floyd County, GA on June 2, 1923 a daughter of the late Virgil S. Carr and Bessie Dempsey Carr. Ms. Carr lived most of her life in Floyd County and was of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Sara Morgan, by a brother Charles Carr and by a brother in law James Arnold Hudgins.


Survivors include two sisters: Mrs. Rilla Holcombe, Rockmart and Mrs. Dot Hudgins, Cedartown. A number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.


Funeral services will be held Monday, August 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Wegner and Rev. David Smart officiating. Interment will follow in the Rehobeth Cemetery of Cave Spring.


Pallbearers will include: Larry Carr, Jerry Carr, Wayne Morgan, Bobby Morgan, Randy Morgan and Glenn Norman, Sr.


The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
