Louise S. Roberts

Mrs. Louise Morris Satcher Roberts, age 80, of Satcher Road Taylorsville, GA passed away Monday, January 16, 2012 in a Rome medical center.


She was born in Floyd County, GA on July 23, 1931 a daughter of the late Thomas L. Morris and Annie Roland Morris. Known as Sweet Lou by many of her wonderful friends and loved ones she retired after working twenty years at Linda?s Place Restaurant in Rockmart. Mrs. Roberts was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hoyt D. Satcher, by a son, Johnny Lee Satcher, by her second husband, Harlon J. Roberts , by a sister, Ruth Morris and by three brothers: James, Morris, Joseph Morris and Robert Morris.


Survivors include her daughter, Linda Satcher, Rockmart; son and daughter in law: Chris and Debbie Satcher, Taylorsville; grandchildren: Butch and Lisa Garrett, Anita Giudice, Randy and Dawn Maginness, Lee Satcher, Christy Satcher, Calvin and Katie Satcher, Eugene Satcher and Michael Satcher; 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; sisters: Della Brandon, Rome and Lula Biars, Atlanta; brother, Bud Morris, Rome.


Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Drew Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.


Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will include: Bill Weaver, Harry Wright, Henry Williams, Glen Thrash, Harry Elrod, Johnny Howell and Harold Proctor.


The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.


The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
